220g Valençay

Made in the Indre from raw milk, it has a truncated pyramid shape.
The natural rind is delicate and a sprinkling of charcoal gives it a grey colour.
Valençay is ripened for a minimum of 11 days. According to legend, it was originally made in the form of a pyramid in order to celebrate the return of Napoleon from his campaigns in Egypt.
